On the harder difficulties, you will not be given enough ammo to take down all the enemies so you want to use walls and stomps to corner your enemies and get the most out of your resources. Generally speaking, you want to always pay attention to your surroundings. Item drops are incredibly rare but you can start it with the suit worn to beat the previous save.

Impossible - This is the toughest difficulty in the entire game and can only be accessed by beating it once on another difficulty.

Hard - The hardest difficulty available to you from the start, this is designed to challenge both your skills and ability to plan out resources.

This will punish mistakes but it still pretty lenient.

Medium - Considered the default, this is good for someone who knows survival horror and wants a challenge but doesn't want to struggle too hard getting through the game.

You can choose Impossible difficulty immediately if you want to beat the game on the hardest difficulty from the start. Dying prompts a complete restart or continuing on Hard Difficulty. If you are unfamiliar with survival horror, this is the mode you should pick. Impossible: This mode has the same damage settings as Hard Difficulty, but autosave is disabled only one save slot and one life are available.

I'm looking forward to not just the new graphics, but seeing the new creature animations, how light and shadow work, and actually being SCARED again of enemies like my first playthrough.
